Budget-friendly yet comfortable staycation in the bustling West Ave.
A lot of people are asking me what do I do on my downtime – and how does having a nomadic lifestyle feels like?

Let me tell you a secret, downtimes are rare! Whenever I’m not traveling, it’s either I meet with clients, run some errands, roam around the Metro looking for the best places to indulge my palate, and of course, more workcations. Being a full-time blogger is no easy feat. It takes dedication, hard work, and great research skills so I can share with you new destinations and discoveries.

Staycation Experience at RedDoorz Premium
This month’s schedule has been pretty overwhelming – from two meetings near Trinoma and a TV interview with a local TV Network – which is why I decided to look for a hotel that is near both locations. Good thing I found this RedDoorz Premium at West Avenue in Quezon City (Check Rates and Availability). It didn’t take long before I finally completed my booking, the process was seamless and apart from the value for money hotel rates, they also have ample selection in the area.
Hotel Location
West Ave. is a pretty exciting area to hang out especially at night – which is why choosing to stay at RedDoorz Premium was the best choice so far.

It’s strategically nestled at the center of Quezon City with close proximity to huge gastropubs, shopping centers, café, and restaurants. There’s Trinoma Mall, SM City North Edsa, Landers Superstore, S&R, and Quezon Memorial Circle. But most importantly, RedDoorz Premium is just a short distance away from transport terminals and public transportation is easy breezy.
Arrival Experience
I arrived later than the normal 2 PM check-in time since I had a meeting in a nearby mall. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was able to immediately check-in and get my keycard. I specifically requested for a room with a veranda and was really glad they granted my request. As part of the hotel’s policy, they requested my ID and required me to provide a P1,500 (fully refundable) security deposit for incidental fees.
Rooms
The property offers homey yet modern interiors, amazing furniture, and complete amenities for a satisfactory stay.

I got a Suite Studio on the 7th floor. It has a veranda and provides a relaxing view of the city. The room is well air-conditioned and has a sofa, table, and chairs for dining, comfortable bed with clean linens, cable television, and fast Wi-fi connection. The bathroom has a perfectly working hot and cold shower, toiletries, clean towels, and a hairdryer.

There are also other facilities you can enjoy like their swimming pool, fitness gym, function rooms, a spa, and paid parking.

The Downside
They have a small ref but sad news guys – it’s empty. Another thing, there’s a water kettle in my room, but I was surprised they don’t even have a coffee and tea making available.
Food
My reservation does not include free breakfast but it’s fine. In case you wanted to eat, they have a restaurant at the penthouse that also offers room service.

If you love sunsets, I suggest you take your early dinner or late afternoon tea at their penthouse restaurant. The place is probably one of the best places in Quezon City if you want to take a stunning picture of the sunset and its surrounding buildings. Not to mention, the hotel also has an in-house coffee shop on the ground floor and a Starbucks right across the street.
Departure
Just like the check-in process, the checkout process was also swift. I was able to get my security deposit while they’re checking my room as a prerequisite for checking out.
Final Verdict
If you’re on a budget and want to have a nice and warm staycation in the lively West Ave, then this is a pretty decent hub to check out. Lots of activities to do nearby and perfect for entertainment seekers!
